I grew up in the heart of Santa Fe, New Mexico—the City Different—where the enchanting landscape, rich history, and vibrant culture ignited my love for storytelling. Surrounded by writers, artists, and the timeless whispers of myths and legends, it didn’t take long before I knew I wanted to tell my own stories. Although I always dreamt of writing, it wasn’t until 13 years ago that I finally began to put pen to paper.

Before I became a writer, I was already a traveler at heart. My journeys took me through the Netherlands, Romania, Russia, and Mexico, where I immersed myself in new cultures and broadened my horizons. Later, after I began making a living from writing, I continued my adventures throughout Europe—visiting Ireland, the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Romania, the Czech Republic, and more. Travel has always opened my eyes to the world, expanding my creativity and giving me fresh perspectives that infuse my stories with magic. 

Throughout my life, I’ve lived in Colorado, Maryland, and several other U.S. cities, and have worn many hats—from nursing school to earning an MA in Business Administration. I’ve worked for a newspaper, run my own jewelry business, and met countless people who shaped the writer I am today. I’m incredibly lucky to share this journey with my wonderful family and two mischievous cats, who are my little muses. After spending over 30 years with six amazing Basset Hounds, I’m hoping to welcome a Basset puppy (or two) in a few years when I finally settle down after the last of my travels.

It’s been an extraordinary journey, and I’m deeply grateful for the experiences that have shaped me. Most of all, I’m thankful for you—the readers—who have joined me along the way.
